Hello there, I'm Chiara
I work as a project manager, a parent, and an expat based in Naples, Italy.
Several years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually opened a new chapter of life abroad.
The Beginning
Moving to Italy wasn’t in our long-range plan. As with many expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
Those initial months were demanding — unfamiliar processes, routines, and expectations. Daily chores seemed more tangled than expected.
The Transition Period
Culture shock, uncertainty, and hands-on learning were common. Yet over time, routines took shape. We found spots that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt secure.
Why I Created Verge Compute Matrix
Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap with practical advice drawn from real life in Italy.
What This Site Represents (And What It Isn't)
This site is:
- Real-world insights from living in Italy
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated only when a real change occurs
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- A sponsored-review platform
- Just another travel blog
Moving Forward
Our time in Italy continues, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue recording what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Naples or anywhere in Italy, feel free to get in touch.
Cheers,
Chiara
